...firstly, I know the quote is wrong, so don't fret over it. It's just that Wednesday is usually my one free day of the week - hence I'm still in my flannel paisley jammies at midday day - but have failed so far in getting on with anything constructive despite all my plans to the contrary...However, I'm due to be on the local radio in a bit, and the idea of doing that in my jim-jams is appealing...

Secondly, I know that recent posts have been nothing more than a bewailing about the lack of posts. 'For recursion, see recursion'. Suffice to say, I am still going on the project, just low on funds and time. I have become slightly obsessed with knitting and yarn-bombing, and most of my work has been in my local area in deepest, dampest Cornwall, but there is hope on the horizon that I'll be able to get back to London before the end of February to continue my travels. Meantime there are stations that I haven't blogged yet, due to tech failures, illness and too many deadlines making my head spin and traumatically apathetic in the face of Too Much To Do.

So I make a promise. An update every Wednesday, at the very least...

I have been hiding in Cornwall, and it's time in 2012 to rejoin the world.

Hey, I wouldn't mind seeing your yarn bomb projects!

it's a carry on from the crocheted coral reef...I've been knitting up loads of strips of fairisle from donated wool...should go out soon, but I'll post more of the recent stuff too.

Yarn-bombing in Cornwall? Do say more. One of the most innovative and gently subversive art forms to arise in recent years.

Good to have you back.

oh, I am very into my yarn-bombing - have bits up in Truro and Plymouth - I'll post some pictures. I exhibited recently in Falmouth, and those bits should be heading out to a permanent location soon...

Aaaaannd reading backwards, hello again! Good to see you back, and very very interested in the yarn bombing... I have learnt to knit while you've been away :) although I never did get the hang of tatting and still have your book somewhere.

well as long as the book was helpful...I've really gotten into knitting, although crochet is still my first love, and I just grok to it in a way I don't yet with knitting. As soon as I can extract the photos, I yarn-bombed the statue of IKB at Paddington - I thought he needed a hat. I'm planning a 'big push' soon to get all the recent knitted pieces out into the wild, possibly in a sensory garden nearby if it plans come to fruition...it's knitted nana memorial. Truth told, its going to be hard to give up all the lovely rectangles of careful fair-isle, but that's just silly.

Yes, crochet is still my first love too. But I bought some yarn that just wouldn't go right in crochet and so I've had to re-learn knitting as well. And I saw a girl doing nalbinding at Jorvik last week. Must.Not.Start.Anything.New...

And you yarnbombed my hero IKB? Oh, I wish I'd been there - photos soon, plz?

and weirdly enough, I recently tried knitting my sister a shrug thingie is a yarn that just refused to be knitter nicely, so have changed to crocheting a granny square throw instead, and it looks marvellous...

Trying to sort out yarn-bombing pics this morning...
