Tube Walk 52 advance warning

  • May. 8th, 2008 at 2:00 PM
We've been looking at our diaries, and obviously with this nice weather we've been having, another Tube Walk would be a good idea, yes? Though alas already May is looking busy, and I imagine many of you will be at BBQs or parties or whatever.

In any case, we've selected the date of Saturday 24 May 2008 (usual 2 for 2:30pm start) for Tube Walk 52, which is another countryside one - Croxley to Moor Park.

The eagle-eyed readers of TfL's planned works page will notice that the Northwood-Watford branch of the Met line will be down that weekend, so it'll be rail replacement buses again (though Croxley's only a couple of stops away, and Moor Park is the next stop from Northwood).

Comedy - 6th May at Clockwork

  • May. 2nd, 2008 at 7:14 PM
Hello lovely folk of London.

Next Tuesday, 6th of May, there will be another Clockwork Comedy. This month features the following mighty fine acts:

Jon Richardson (6music with Russell Howard, Chortle Best Newcomer 2008)
Dan Antopolski (Hyperdrive, Comedy Cuts)
Adrian Poynton ("Astounding moments of genius…stunning" - The Guardian)
and MC Robin Ince (Book Club/Latitude Festival, Radio4's Personality Test, BBC7's Serious About Comedy)

Entry is £7 or £5 concessions (and there's a secret password for cheap entry at http://www.myspace.com/clockworkcomedy). Clockwork is at 96-98 Pentonville Road in Islington, and the nearest tube station is Angel (or Kings Cross with a wee bit of a walk).

If you can come along, it'd be lovely to have you there. Flyer under the cut for anyone who's interested!
