When it's sixty four!
So 64 stations in. The tippex map now looks like this:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

there's a pleasing blank space in the middle that is slowly spreading outwards. Bayswater and New Cross Still irk me though. Especially going through Bayswater on the train to Paddington and just knowing there wasn't enough time or willpower to drag all the baggage up and out and down again just to get that one station. Next time...I swear next time...

211 to go.

Tippexing a map is a brill idea, I may steal ;)

Is Bayswater open again now? Seems like it was closed for an eternity.

I like the idea of reversal - that instead of terra incognita, the blank space represents the known world. Eventually the map will be a blank, replaced by the map that lives in my head.

Bayswater is listed as open, and certainly was open as we passed through a few weeks ago, but just didn't have the time to jump off. Lancaster Gate is open too, even if it's not listed as so on one of my tube maps from 2006. Annoyingly though, Regent's Park is now closed and won't reopen until this summer. I also wantto take the bus to Shoreditch which closed permanently in the summer of 2006. I'll be able to visit the exterior of the old ticket office, and that will have to count as can't actually get a train out anymore.

I didn't know Bayswater had been closed, but then the last time I went past there on a regular basis was 14 years ago. Blimey, that's quite awful to think that much time has passed.
