Paddington per chance?

Brings back memories of going on holiday to my aunts...we'd go into london at Liverpool St, and then rush through the underground to Paddington to make our connection to Exeter, to get the little trundly train to exmouth!

sounds like it...all i really remember of the tube from those days is my mother hanging onto me for dear life so i didn't get carried away by the tides of people.

that sounds aboutright - off 'visiting your aunts' sounds like your grew up in a Roald Dahl novel...I shall be most disappointed to discover you didn't live in a giant peach.

ah...it's all goes a bit Brighton Rock instead...I think I prefer the idea of you living inside a big fuzzy peach, only with nice aunts...

see - there is a bear at Paddington. You can buy tons of Paddington stuff, including lots of stuffed bears. Gap in the market for marmalade sandwiches thoguh.

Who me? I'm not a stick!

Don't know when you last spoke to the Ork, but I have recently mentioned to him my intention to have a leg injury or stomach upset at some point in the new year. You know, the kind that would last about one weekend, maybe Friday through Monday, and coincide with his plans to go down to cornwall... It would be a shame to miss a weekend of work, but when sickness sneaks up on you like this, the only way to feel better is with long car journeys and maybe some scones...

oh you poor poor thing, feeling so sick...the only thing I can suggest is absolutely staying somewhere quiet and far far away from any stress that might further incapacitate you. And having loving friends to feel you sticky buns...

I knew that you would by sympathetic to my delicate nature. And, wouldn't you know it, sticky buns are just what my doctor suggested last time I fell ill with advanced notice!
