This coming weekend aiming to knock out Epping at the top of the Central Line.  This Sunday is a Special Events day on the Epping to Ongar Railway - lots of Hallowen Fun and real ale is planned, and also means the chance to collect the closed tube station at Ongar - which, ok, isn't an official part of the TW project, but seems silly not to get it while the chance is there.  So, if people have no plans for Sunday afternoon, why not come and play on the trains and paint your face like a kitty cat .  As it's a Special Events Day there are vintage buses laid on to take you to the station from Epping tube - bonus! 

Timetable here if people fancy joining myself, psychonomy and failing_angelhe fancy dress competition is for the kiddies only, but not letting that stop me. 

I've also packed my OS map of the area so if the weather retains anything of autumnal splendour the way home can be planed with a walk through Epping Forest.  I suspect though that time will be a problem as Epping Forest is huge and I have a 6pm train out of Paddington.  What might be possible is a quick detour across to the Secret Nuclear Bunker at Kelveton, which is a bus ride (or cab) from Epping, Theydon Bois or Debden.  I do find it just gorgeous that if you type 'secret nuclear bunker' into google, Kelvedon Hatch is the first result.
